Unlike most of my music, this song didn’t feature any guitar in it whatsoever. For a while I was getting into how to really utilize the onboard instruments in Ableton, and also playing around with a newly acquired MIDI controller.
One of my major influences in music is Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails, which is what inspired the contrast of sounds in this song, and which helped develop my “voice” in the later productions. This is a very ambiance based track, which played with reverbs and delays, as well as the coloration of sounds.
