The creation of this song really helped me get back on focus to guitar based music. There’s still a bit of synths being used, but it was more about filling in some empty spaces and creating an atmosphere. This track is a much more in-your-face kind of feel, meant to grab and shake you up a bit.
This was an attempt at crossing intense high drive arena rock with the more dark and enigmatic aspects of some industrial stuff. The Monotribe plays a large role in a lot of my songs, just because it’s so versatile for such a small ribbon synth. A lot of underlaying drone and some creative elements here and there were done on the Monotribe and either effected through some outboard gear or in Ableton.
