Alpha is the first track off an experimental EP I was working on a few years ago, which has since been put on the backburner, as they say. Along with the rest of the tracks, these songs experimented heavily with electronic and industrial elements, with a lot more attention to detail in the processing of sounds. This project was started after I had begun schooling in sound and music recording, so it started more as a way for me to apply the new techniques I was learning about. Over time these songs turned into more of a collective, and eventually I decided I would be releasing them as an EP.
After a while however, I became distracted with the Nopheros project, and over the course of a few years, these songs just fell out of focus, and I had only recorded guitars onto one or two of the songs, rough takes at that. Eventually I’ll be picking these songs up again and working through them for a release.
